Vancouver's fingerstyle virtuoso Don Alder to perform at 20th All Star Guitar Night in Anaheim, CA

This year, All Star Guitar Night (ASGN) (Winter NAMM, Anaheim, CA, USA) celebrates its 20th anniversary (Jan 25th, 2014) and acoustic guitarist Don Alder, who's residing in Kitsilano, is invited for the fifth time to perform. Alongside ASGN founder Muriel Anderson, Lee Ritenour, Steve Lukather, Nathan East, Monte Montgomery, Danny Gottlieb, Stu Hamm, Stanley Jordan and the Howard Roberds Tribute Band, Don Alder will not only perform songs from his current album, but also be field testing a couple of new songs from his upcoming album "Circuitous", to hit the market in spring 2014.

"The All Star Guitar Night is always a main highlight for me, as I will be on a bill with some very famous artists." Says Don Alder, the crowned winner of the 2007 International Fingerstyle Competition, Guitar Player Magazine's 2010 Guitar Superstar Champion and 2011 Worldwide Guitar Idol winner.
Alder, who has also received a Brand Laureate Award from the country of Malaysia in 2013 for using his guitar and his music as an ambassador to enhance the lives of others, has been on a handful of All Star Guitar Nights, and has particular fond memories of the 2008 summer NAMM All Star Guitar Night in Nashville, TN: "It was held at the Ryman theatre and had a top flight bill including Tommy Emmanuel who will be coming to Vancouver in May 2014; James Burton (Elvis), Duane Eddy and the Ventures' Nokie Edwards (who just passed away), Rick Vito (Fleetwood Mac) and Larry Carlton. That was an awesome night."
