Eric Hamber Music Students to get a special workshop from local Guitar Hero, Don Alder.
Eric Hamber Secondary School Music teacher, Reece Worth, wants to provide a full spectrum of music experiences for his students and put the question out to Kitsilano's award-winning acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Don Alder if he would be interested in participating and the enthusiastic answer was: "Yes".
On April 8th, 2014, Alder will be performing and doing a workshop with the students in a morning session. Students will be introduced to his unique style of playing which incorporates fingerpicking with simultaneous percussion. Don Alder will also bring a variety of instruments including a harp guitar, a guitar-based stringed instrument with a history of well over two centuries, a banjotar (half banjo, half guitar) and a baritone guitar.
